How do you look at sin today as a believer? Do you feel distant from God if you sin…do you feel like you have to ask for forgiveness from God when you do something wrong…do you think that bad things in your life are related to a sin in your past…do you continually confess your sins??? If any of these apply to you, take time to read through Hebrews 9 and 10, and know that you are forgiven of all your sins. Jesus dealt with the issue of sin, once and for all, on the cross.
Hebrews 9:12 – And not through the blood of goats and calves, but through His own blood, He entered the holy place once for all, having obtained eternal redemption.
Hebrews 9:26 – Otherwise Christ would have had to suffer many times since the creation of the world. But he has appeared once for all at the culmination of the ages to do away with sin by the sacrifice of himself.
Hebrews 10:10 – And by that will, we have been sanctified through the sacrifice of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.
Hebrews 10:12 – But when Christ had offered for all time a single sacrifice for sins, he sat down at the right hand of God.
Romans 8:3 – For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh.
