The only area the devil can really attack you is in your mind. Being bound to everlasting chains in darkness (Jude 1:6/2 Pet 2:4), he is limited to trying to remove you from your high position of rest, in Christ (Eph 2:6)!
Your thoughts (mind) controls your beliefs (heart), and your beliefs control your quality of life.
Half the battle is won once you understand this truth!
2 Corinthians 10:3-5
For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh, for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but divinely powerful for the destruction of strongholds. We are destroying arguments and every high thing raised up against the knowledge of God, and we are taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ.
“Destruction of strongholds…destroying arguments…the knowledge of Christ…thoughts captive.” The strongholds are in your mind, keeping your heart out of a place of rest in the truth of the gospel of peace.
So what is the obedience of Christ…?
For as by the one man’s disobedience the many were made sinners, so by the one man’s obedience the many will be made righteous.
With that in mind…
2 Corinthians 5:21
He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.
Keep your thoughts, at all times, on Christ’s obedience to the cross. Be conscious of the forgiveness of your sins (past present and future). Be aware of who you are in Christ!
Meditate on the death of your Adam nature (sin) and the resurrection of your Christ nature (righteous).
Therefore we have been buried with Him through baptism into death, so that as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we too might walk in newness of life. For if we have been united with Him in the likeness of His death, certainly we shall also be in the likeness of His resurrection.
KNOW who you are!
The Father sees you righteous IN Christ!
Any thoughts outside of who you are in Christ are not your thoughts, and they are lies. The great thing is…you are not responsible for these thought. Reject these lies, and do not receive any condemnation from the enemy.
